2. How do I get to SafeHouse?
3. Are there other charities that offer the same things?

1. What Can I do to help?
Because we are a not for profit organization funds are always needed to help keep our ministry going. Also, volunteers are needed to help assist with donations, sorting clothing, day to day operations and holiday events. Toy, clothes and food donations are also a vital part in keeping our ministry alive.

2. How do I get to SafeHouse?

We are located on Plymouth Street, between Edgewood Avenue and McDuff Avenue.

From Roosevelt Blvd. South you would take a right on McDuff Avenue and then a left on the second street, which is Plymouth Street.  We are approximately 1/2 mile down on the right.

From Roosevelt Blvd. North you take the Edgewood Avenue exit, making a left at the first light, then an immediate right at the first street after the Rail Road Tracks.  This is Plymouth Street.  We are about 1/4 of a mile down on the left.

3. Are there other charities that offer the same things?
The answer is yes and no. There are other charities that offer food and clothing, some even offer shelter, but with Safehouse we offer the word of God to those who have fallen thru the cracks of traditional churches. We don't just offer a handout, we offer a helping hand to get our members off the street and adjusted back into society. Also, no one collects a paycheck from Safehouse, we operate on volunteer hours/donations only so every donation goes straight to help those in need.
